D-801, Supplementary Conditions of the Progressive Design-Build Contract, provides a comprehensive framework for customizing the D-701 Standard General Conditions to address project-specific legal, technical, and administrative requirements. It is used to supplement the standard general conditions where needed, including the necessarily unique requirements relating to insurance, bonds, submittals, site conditions, dispute resolution, and other specialized terms. The D-801 tailors the contract framework to the particular project and applicable legal requirements. Particularly useful as the primary vehicle for project-specific revisions to the general conditions, D-801 helps users customize the progressive design-build contract without disturbing the overall structure of the EJCDC document system.
