D-501, Agreement Between Owner and Owner’s Advisor for Professional Services—Progressive Design-Build, is a professional services agreement for projects in which the Owner intends to use progressive design-build and retain a separate Owner’s Advisor. The agreement identifies the advisory, procurement, conceptual development, and contract administration services the Owner’s Advisor may provide, and establishes the terms and conditions governing that relationship. Particularly useful where the Owner seeks informed guidance during selection of the Design-Builder and throughout collaborative project development, D-501 provides a clear framework for defining the Owner’s Advisor’s role on a progressive design-build project.

EJCDC includes the American Society of Civil Engineers, the American Council of Engineering Companies, the National Society of Professional Engineers, and the participation of more than fifteen other professional engineering design, construction, owner, legal, and risk management organizations.
