Prepared by the Engineers Joint Contract Documents Committee (EJCDC).
E-571, the Short Form of Agreement Between Engineer and Subconsultant for Professional Services, is a concise agreement for use when an Engineer retains a Subconsultant to perform professional services of limited scope and complexity. Intended as a streamlined alternative to EJCDC E-570, the E-571 contains the core terms needed to form the Engineer-Subconsultant professional services agreement, while omitting many of the more detailed provisions found in the E-570. Particularly well suited for lower-risk projects where the E-520, Short Form of Agreement Between Owner and Engineer for Professional Services, is used as the prime agreement.
EJCDC includes the American Society of Civil Engineers, the American Council of Engineering Companies, the National Society of Professional Engineers, and the participation of more than fifteen other professional engineering design, construction, owner, legal, and risk management organizations.
EJCDC documents are delivered in Microsoft Word format (file extension *.docx) and sometimes Microsoft Excel format (file extension *.xlsx). Microsoft Word and Excel are required if you wish to edit the files.
