The EJCDC D-500 Agreement establishes the terms and conditions for the professional services provided by an Owner's Advisor in a design-build project, including advisory, planning, and administrative roles. It specifies the scope of services, compensation methods, and responsibilities of both the Owner and the Advisor, while emphasizing the importance of customizing the document to suit the specific project. Additionally, it includes guidelines for document preparation, editing, and compliance with the License Agreement.

EJCDC includes the American Society of Civil Engineers, the American Council of Engineering Companies, the National Society of Professional Engineers, and the participation of more than fifteen other professional engineering design, construction, owner, legal, and risk management organizations.
