Standard Form of Ageement between Owner and Design/Bulider for Preliminary Services is used to set out the basic duties and responsibilities between the owner and design/builder for preliminary services, covering study and report phase, technical exhibit phase, proposal phase, and additional services. Also includes standards of performance, use of documents, electronic media, study and design phase insurance, dispute resolution, and more.

EJCDC includes the American Society of Civil Engineers, the American Council of Engineering Companies, the National Society of Professional Engineers, and the participation of more than fifteen other professional engineering design, construction, owner, legal, and risk management organizations.
