Certificate of Substantial Completion identifies the project and indicates acceptance of the work to the extent stated. It is intended to be accompanied by a punch list of items to be completed or corrected. The form provides space to record the respective responsibilities of the owner and contractor for security, operation, safety, maintenance, heat, utilities, and insurance during the period after substantial completion and prior to final payment.

EJCDC includes the American Society of Civil Engineers, the American Council of Engineering Companies, the National Society of Professional Engineers, and the participation of more than fifteen other professional engineering design, construction, owner, legal, and risk management organizations.

EJCDC documents are delivered in Microsoft Word format (file extension *.doc). Microsoft Word is required if you wish to edit the files.
